State of Maine v. Michael A. Doyle
Lawyers: DeTroy/Hallett Phone Call March 4, 2002 Board of Overseers To Whom It May Concern: RE: Hallett letter dated Feb. 28th The attached letter concerning a telephone call from Peter DeTroy to my lawyer Thomas Hallett is highly objectionable. My criminal case brought against me in no small part by the misconduct of DeTroy is now in a very critical point of time. I do not want Hallett's attention diverted from the work at hand by ANY contacts from any lawyer I have filed complaints against. This is to include Stephen Diamond, Ralph Dyer, Peter DeTroy, Richard Berne, David VanDyke, and Amy Homans, AAG. I view DeTroy's contact as an attempt at best to drive a wedge between my attorney and myself and at worse to intimidate or tamper with my attorney client relationship. Additionally, Hallett may at a future date and time, be a witness in litigation against DeTroy, and DeTroy's contact may be a form of witness tampering. Had DeTroy's telephone call been successful in terminating my representation by Hallett where would I be today? Consequently, I hereby request that the Board of Overseers immediately Order all of the above named attorneys Not to make any contact whatsoever and in any form with my attorney, Thomas Hallett. Please acknowledge receipt of this fax by return mail. Michael A. Doyle
