State of Maine
v.
Michael A. Doyle

July 4, 2009

Mr. Cabanne Howard
Committee on Judicial Responsibility and Disability
P.O. Box 8058
Portland, ME 04104-4364

Dear Mr. Howard:           Docket No. 09-SC-09

I received your letter dated May 26th yesterday referring to my letter dated May 28th. Did you mean to date the letter June 26th?

Next would you please address the following:

Are you a licensed lawyer in the State of Maine? If not, what are the qualifications that you bring to your current position?

Did it ever occur to you during this investigation that DeTroy may have used a sheet of old and outdated letterhead that wasn't discarded by him that he had in his desk or at his home? Didn't you, at some point, think that it was an unreasonable assumption that the parties accused of this wrong doing would actually admit to sending the letter, receiving the letter, and having ex parte communication? How effective would the entire criminal system be if every other similar wrongdoer could be found not guilty simply by denying any key evidence against him or her? Wouldn't you agree that your acceptance of the denials of the perpetrators in this case would be ridiculous outside of this case? Finally, it would seem that the signature is DeTroy's because over all the correspondence you have never challenged it, is it in fact his signature?

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.

Sincerely,

Michael Doyle
